St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer

A huge shout out to all of our members who participated in the St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer this past Saturday in Charleston, South Carolina. In total, our chapter raised over $12,000 in fundraising efforts leading up to the race. This made us the top fundraising team involved in the Charleston race. Our top fundraiser was Rebecca Barnhart who raised over $1,000 on her own. So proud of our chapter and its commitment to our philanthropy, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Our Philanthropy Chair Valerie Pruc described her involvement in this race,
"It was such a wonderful experience being able to come together as a chapter to support a cause so dear to our hearts. Our girls represented Tri Delta so well and really showed the love and passion they hold for St. Jude by being so enthusiastic about the run. Compared to what these beautiful children and their families have to go through each day in their journey, participating in this run was the least we could do as a chapter to help and to honor these families. I am looking forward to continuing this on as an Alpha Lambda tradition!"

New Member (name removed for Pi Chi) summed up her experience,
"As a freshman in Tri Delta I wasn't really sure what my first philanthropy event would be like but little did I know I was in for quite a lot of fun. Not only did I get to hangout with my sisters, but I got to see first hand what a true impact Tri Delta has on St. Jude. We walked up and instantly felt at home with all the other girls not only from USC but Charleston as well. We registered and then went into the barn set up with free decor and everywhere we looked there was Tri Delta accessories... signs, buttons, pins and that's when it hit me how truly real this connection between my home and this cause is. Not only were we there as one of the largest groups, but it was so inspiring for me to walk hand in hand with all my sisters for a cause that not only we love and care so much for but also loves us back. Now, that's the biggest blessing."

New Member Retreat 2016

The New Member Retreat 2016 was the weekend of September 9th at Lake Lure. Our new member class along with some older members came together for a much needed weekend of sisterly bonding.

This is such an incredible experience as it gives the new members the chance to really feel like they are a part of Tri Delta. So many members value this time together as it has brought them some of their very best friendships in Tri Delta.

There is nothing quite like escaping the your daily routine with your best friends in a beautiful place. We are so happy ya'll had such an amazing time and cannot wait to see you grow closer as a pledge class!

Shout-out to our extremely dedicated and incredible New Member Educator, Carson Cook. None of this could be possible without you! You are such a wonderful role model to our new members, and we cannot thank you enough!!

It's a BIG Deal to Get Your Little

There's nothing quite like the relationship between a big and little. It's an instant bond formed with someone that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. She immediately becomes your better half, best friend, role model; the list goes on. This aspect of sorority life is so special.

Here's a look at what Tri Delta's Big/Little Reveal 2016 looked like...

Take every opportunity to spend time with your big/little. This relationship is unlike any other and I encourage each and every one of you to cherish it.

Special Shout Out to my little for being the most incredible person! I don't think there's ever been a time where you haven't stopped your world to make sure mine keeps turning.
